Originally from Cambridge, Emma has been singing, dancing and acting since the age of 3. After completing her A-Levels she went on to train professionally with the ‘National Youth Music Theatre’ and then at ‘Cambridge Performing Arts at Bodywork Company’ gaining a National Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre with Distinction.
She has extensive experience in both performing and teaching and is very excited to be fulfilling her dream of running ‘The Barr Academy of Performing Arts’ where she hopes to pass on the knowledge and advice she has learnt so far and nurture and encourage budding performers!

Dave is a professional tuba player who works in a wide range of styles and ensembles. Since graduating from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2007, his career has taken him all over world, as far afield as Japan, China and the U.S.
Dave has been fortunate to work with some of the UK's leading orchestras, including the John Wilson Orchestra, London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic and BBC Symphony & Concert Orchestras and has experience playing in the London's West End in Chicago, Barnum & The Scotsboro' Boys.
As well as this kind of work, Dave also enjoys playing with his brass quintet; Barbican Brass and teaches brass to people of all ages and abilities.
I would highly recommend the Barr Academy - the emphasis is on "learning while having fun" yet standards remain high - hard work and dedication is expected and willingly given by all the students. The upshot - happy, confident students who improve year on year
